A GREAT idea!

So, a few weeks ago I did a photo shoot out at the Dallas Arboretum. Now, this isn't out of the ordinary but what was is that I did a shoot of a bride AND the groom. The day after their wedding rather than jumping on a plane and jetting to their romantic getaway, they got dressed back up and met me for some pictures. I have to say, this was the best idea I had ever heard. The day of your wedding is not only a blur but after the ceremony you don't get a lot of real intimate pictures of you and your new spouse. You're being pulled in so many directions and everyone wants to hug you and congratulate you and you feel pressured to get to your guest rather than get your pictures snapped. So, this is something I HIGHLY suggest doing. I loved this idea and I wish I would have done something like this when I got married way back when. The pictures pretty much speak for themselves...

Loghan wins by 1 vote!

Well, it was a close close race but it all came down to one vote, and that one vote made Loghan our contest number two winner. :) I'm sorry Taylor, but when it comes to cute babies, it's hard to beat them. So, Loghan's mom will be receiving an 11x14 and for their hard work and determination, Taylor's mom will get an 8x10. Congratulations you guys, you fought hard!

Website is up and running... WOO HOO

So, I finally got my website up and running... but if you are reading this blog then you probably already noticed that. :) I'm so excited I cannot stand it! I have worked sooo hard to get this going and now I feel like a huge weight is lifted off. Whew. Now, it's back to editing pics.

Here we go

Well, here it is folks, JLG Photography's first official blog. And I figured, what better way to start off something new than with a contest that I am offering on facebook. Yes, a contest. Nothing says summer like a little competition. All the contest details are right on the JLG Photography facebook page (Link on the right) and I can tell you that the prize is definitely worth it. I mean, who wouldn't want to win a free photo session with none other than myself.
